Their family had recently received the heartbreaking news that Ella had cancer and only had a short time left with them. It was important for them to spend a special afternoon celebrating both Ella and her brother Teddy, with a walk near Red Rock, lots of treats, and, of course, photographs of them on their adventure.
Ella and Teddy are Pomeranian-Sheltie mixes with beautiful coats, the fluffiest tails, expressive ears, and smiles that can brighten anyone’s day.
Ella is the smaller of the two and lives up to her name perfectly. She’s incredibly sweet and loves licking her humans’ faces whenever she gets the chance.
Teddy, on the other hand, is the entertainer of the pair. If treats are involved, he’s ready to show off a whole list of tricks.
Their family summed them up perfectly:
Teddy: Hungry
Ella: Sweet
Ella seemed to be feeling good during her session and looked so happy. She and Teddy were the most perfect little models, almost like they’d been doing this for years. I’m guessing they’ve had a little practice posing for their humans before.
Dogs never stay with us long enough.
Photographs give us something lasting, a way to hold on to the smiles, the expressions, and the little pieces of their personality that made them so special.
Ella’s session was about celebrating exactly that.
Ella crossed the bridge on October 1, 2025.
Rest easy, sweet girl.
Below is a short video of Ella and Teddy’s album below.
It’s always special seeing these moments come together in print. (If the video looks off, a screen refresh usually fixes it).
