A lot of us care deeply about dogs in need… but not everyone is built for rescue work. It’s tough. It takes time, money, emotional bandwidth, a solid network, and a whole lot of grit. I’ll be the first to admit: that is not my lane.

But supporting the people who are doing that work? That’s something all of us can be part of.

That’s where Tails of Las Vegas V2 comes in.
This project gives you a simple, meaningful way to help local dogs who are down on their luck—while celebrating the dog you adore. Each participant directly contributes to funding the incredible rescues and organizations that are out there every day making a difference in our community.

Throughout the project, I’ll be partnering with multiple Las Vegas–based charities that are committed to helping dogs get the second chance they deserve. Your session helps them continue their work—whether that means covering medical care, supplies, or the everyday needs of the dogs they take in.

It’s an easy way to give back, create something beautiful, and do a little good right here at home.

Wagging Tails Rescue

Tails of Las Vegas V2 is a limited edition, hardcover coffee table book celebrating dogs in Las Vegas.

Registration Details

Fee: $150
Includes: Professional portrait session + double-page spread in Tails of Las Vegas V2
Bonus page: V2 includes a bonus page for each dog with their story
Add a second dog: $25 (each dog gets their own spread and bonus page)
Donation: 100% of registration fee goes to a local dog-focused charity
Full session upgrade: $35 (upgrade portion is not donated)
Digital files & prints: Not included, but available to purchase—no minimums
Book release: Spring 2026 (~$150 + delivery) with pre-order discounts announced later

Frequently asked questions

Can any dog participate?: This book is open to any and all dogs, but the locations will all be in Las Vegas, Nevada.
I just want my dog to be in the book. Do I need to purchase additional products?: That is absolutely fine! Your registration fee guarantees a double-page spread in Tails of Las Vegas and no additional purchase is necessary.

If you would like to purchase a copy of the book, it will be available for approximately $150.

My dog will never sit still.: That's completely normal and not a problem. I actually prefer this over a dog with a perfect stay because we'll get a little more variety in expressions and more interesting positions. The camera shutter is so quick, we will get the shots. The most important thing is that your dog is having a great day.
My dog can't be off leash.: This is where Photoshop comes to the rescue! Many of the dogs I photograph are on-leash. Safety first! If your dog is distracted by people, other dogs, smells, etc. we are better off doing the session on-leash. Don't worry, it will be fine, the leash will be removed from your final images.

Please note - the collar will be in the image, so bring your fancy collar or a very thin rolled collar, and please no harness if at all possible.

Also, please make sure your collar is properly fitted. We don't want it so loose that your dog can back out of it, but we don't want it so tight that the skin hangs over it.
Do digitals come with my session?: For every product your order, you will automatically receive a medium resolution watermarked digital of that image. You will also have the option to purchase additional digitals if you would like.

As the photographer, I retain full copyright and ownership of all images.
When can I buy the book?: Once the book is available, I'll provide a link to order.
I would like to purchase images from my dog's session.: Awesome! I truly hope you love the images we capture! I do recommend choosing the session extension to guarantee we get plenty of gorgeous images of your dog.
